A vigorous racket sport ideal for improving strength, cardiovascular ability, flexibility, agility, hand-eye coordination and mental health. It's also a great calorie burner and the ball always comes back when hit, so no excuse for not practicing!

A fantastic sport for developing mental sharpness, improving reflexes (fast-twitch muscle development), hand-eye coordination and balance. It's also easier on the joints than many of the other racket sports.

Why racket sports?

Participating in racket sports is the best way to work on multiple skills at the same time. Aside from obvious requirements, such as hand-eye coordination, there are also physical, tactical, psychological, and social skills required to progress and improve! For children, taking part in racket sports boosts their coordination and fundamental movement skills, while also providing a fun and energetic activity, to give motivation for progression. This makes it beneficial for ALL children of any age to pick up a racket/bat and give it a go! In addition, all of these benefits can be taken away from the court and into adolescence and later life.

For adults, on the other hand, it's never too late to develop the above skills; alongside this, racket sports provide a way to socialise with new people, make friends and take the stresses and burdens away from everyday working life, as well as increasing confidence, fitness and general wellbeing.
